1st Byattunga Scout Group, Morisset

1st Byattunga Scout hall currently houses over 50 youth members ranging from 5 years to 18 years old 4 nights a week, as well as volunteer Leaders and parent helpers.We are an active Scout Group operating Joey Scout, Cub Scout, Scout and Venturer Scout sections for male and female youth members from 5 to 18 years of age. The aim of Scouts is to encourage the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development of young people so that they take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens. We provide local youth with a safe and fun environment to learn and help prepare them for life in the adult world by teaching responsibility for their own actions and progress.As a part of Scouts Australia, 1st Byattunga Scout Group is a volunteer organisation that relies predominantly on membership fees and member fundraising to support activities and ongoing costs associated with running the Group and maintaining our community facilities. We run an exciting and varied program of activities including practical skills in camping, canoeing, arts and craft, teamwork and leadership.
