A Farm Less Ordinary

A Farm Less Ordinary (AFLO) is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to provide employment and a welcoming community to adults with intellectual, developmental, and cognitive disabilities. We seek to improve outcomes for our “Growers”, both now and in the future, by encouraging a sense of self-worth and independence through employment. Our primary objective is to enable Growers to be successful in finding and maintaining employment. By providing them with employment experience in a safe environment now, as well as training in “soft skills” such as teamwork and adaptability that will serve them in the future, we expect that they will be better equipped to become productive members of the workforce.We currently operate two produce farms in Lovettsville, VA and Leesburg, VA.
