Adebayo Chris Katiiti

Adebayo is a multi-talented artist, International Human rights Activists, Advocate for Trans and Refugee Communities, He is an event Organizer with experiences of over 6 years, he started his professional music career in April of 2022 with his first song (one love) and since then has not backed down. He has been a social activist and advocate for more than six years; he founded RARICANow, an Edmonton-based NGO that supports LGBTIQ+ Refugees and Newcomers. He came to Edmonton, for the ILGA swimming competition in August 2016, following the traumatizing events after Uganda police raided the gay pride. He holds a degree in Sport Science, He is a Certified Life and Wellness Coach from Rhodes Wellness College, a Certificate in Compassionate, Collaborative, & Inclusive Leadership: Anti-Racism Capacity Building from MacEwan University, and a Certificate in Fundamentals of Leadership from NAIT. He is currently in school taking immigration and citizen law.Since settling in Edmonton, Adebayo has dedicated himself to helping newcomers and refugees like himself navigate the complicated refugee process and access needed services. He created a documentary called Along Road to Peace Documentary. He was among the Transgender artists that participated in the Re-Imaging Normal - Galleries West which was a traveling show across the Province Re-imaging normal trex traveling show. He was among the Black Creators recognized by Telus Storyhive 2022 and he created a new documentary called Unpacking Black Trans Legacy which is yet to be Premiered.Art and Music is another powerful form of activism that inspires change and communicates directly to all people. Decided to use music as a tool to address systemic issues like Social injustices, and gender inequalities through music doing injustices to his enemy while shining a light of Gender diverse pride.In less than a year, because of his ambitious personality, Going by the musician name KATIITI, Adebayo has released an EP Album titled “TRANSOME KATIITI” in 2022, which is a mix of afrobeat, hip hop, singer-songwriter inspirational, uplifting, In Feb 2023 he released a “Sameblood Album Of 13 songs, He has Performed at Conferences and Festivals with thousands of Clouds (Edmonton PrideFest at Churchill, Afro x Latin Festival, UCCA Cultural Gala, Stonewall Awards Gala, Afro-Latin Sundays, UCCA Cultural Gala,)NO ONE IS FREE UNTIL ALL OF US ARE FREE
