Aisteach is an Irish word for queer, which translates as: aisteach, a1. 1. (a) Peculiar, queer. (b) Wonderful, surprising. 2. Droll. Also: weird, unusual, bizarre, odd, quaint, strange, curious, mysteriousAisteach Co-operative Housing Society Limited (previously QHC Queer Housing Co-operative) is registered as a co-operative to provide housing and housing support, for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people through mutual aid based on the co-operative principles.We are currently developing a model to achieve this aim. While we have no accommodation available at present, we are keen to enlist support to achieve our aims.
