Alexis Johnson

The educational and wealth gap in the community limits young adults from accessing resources to fulfill meaningful careers. Alexis Johnson acknowledges the gap issue by providing this program for minority children ages 7-17 to learn more about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics careers in an achievable realm.Alexis has a stellar resume in The Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics and Beauty industries as Director of Quality which began after she graduated from Jackson State University. Her goal for this non-profit organization is to expose students to STEM careers, through “The Cosmetic Chemist Science of Beauty program.”The 4-day camp will focus on different aspects of the beauty industry each day. We will focus on skincare, hair, makeup, and the body. We will also perform testing on the products. I also have incorporated a business day because it’s one thing to be able to make a product and have an idea, but how will you get that to the consumers? We will also talk about branding, sales, and distribution.Save the date Registration will begin April 23rd, 2024Camp starts: July 8th -11th, 2024 @ 9am-2pm
