Allen Watkins Band

The Allen Watkins Band plays original acoustic music and Americana-style covers. It features flat-picking and finger-style guitar, fiddle & banjo.Allen Watkins is a three-time Alabama State Champion for finger-style guitar, and is also accomplished on banjo, mandolin and bass. He is a nationally acclaimed touring artist, with bands such as Claire Lynch, Lonesome River Band and Whetstone Run. He has recorded with bluegrass greats Mark Johnson and Tony Rice.Connie Nicholas Watkins is a singer-songwriter, playing rhythm guitar and mandolin. Her EP of original music titled "Dakotah Landing" is available on iTunes.Joe Parker has played and studied bass guitar for nearly 40 years. His bass stylings add a special jazz/blues touch to the AWB repertoire.Garrett Smith has studied classical violin since the age of 5.
