Amy Stringfellow

I have worked as a boat builder for over 11 years. I am a Co-director of Women In Boatbuilding CIC, and work as the Boat Building Programme Manager at Cornwall Marine Network. A career in boat building has taken me all over the world and opened my eyes to practical skills built around a love of the ocean. I have been teaching for a few years now and feel passionately about bridging the skills gap in STEM subjects. I teach woodwork and introductory courses mainly for women to build confidence and practical skills. Whether it's just to try out or to start or change careers, these courses offer a taster into the industry.
