Introducing Ananda Murari, a singer-songwriter hailing from Ypsilanti, MI, whose music is as diverse as the experiences that have shaped him. Ananda's journey began as a young adult when he lived in yoga monasteries across the US and India, where he received his name. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for songwriting, inspired by the wisdom and beauty cultures of folk traditions.Ananda's connection to music has always had a spiritual element, having grown up playing music in his parent's church. However, it wasn't until he discovered the practice of Kirtan, an eastern form of devotion, that he fully realized the potential of music to connect with the divine. After six years of immersing himself in the monasteries and learning the music and philosophy of devotion, Ananda emerged ready to create music that reflected his experiences.
