Ankur - Indian Graduate Student Association

ANKUR is a student organization dedicated to promoting international understanding and goodwill among the students and staff of the University of Pittsburgh. We are committed to addressing the challenges encountered by Indian students at Pitt and providing them with a platform for expression and mutual support. We also promote and help assimilate the culture of the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh community. In addition, we coordinate and cooperate with other organizations on campus and in the city of Pittsburgh in activities of mutual interest. We also promote, advance, and spread awareness about India and its heritage. Finally, we foster communication and collaboration between Indian students and alumni of the University of Pittsburgh.We believe that ANKUR can play a vital role in helping Indian students at Pitt to adjust to their new surroundings, make friends, and succeed academically and personally. We also believe that ANKUR can play a role in promoting understanding and appreciation between Indian and American cultures.
