Art of Me, Youth Story to Movie Contest

Art of Me empowers young people to share their unique stories and perspectives through writing, film, and art. We believe in amplifying youth voices to explore what matters most to them—relationships, family, community, and their futures.Each year, we host the “What is Power & Community?” story-to-film contest, where the winning story is transformed into a professionally produced film in collaboration with acclaimed filmmakers. These films are shared in classrooms nationwide and serve as a bridge between the professional film community and the authentic voices of our youth.In addition to creating films, Art of Me provides resources for educators through workshops and study guides, helping teachers integrate these powerful stories into their lessons.Our mission is to challenge stereotypes and spark meaningful dialogue by sharing authentic narratives that inspire solutions to the challenges facing today’s youth. By connecting young creators with industry professionals, Art of Me elevates their voices to higher platforms, empowering them to unlock creativity, build connections, and create change in their communities.
