ASALH TAMPA BAY

The Tampa Bay Chapter of ASALH was founded in 2004 by Mrs. Mary Frances Alexander. ASALH Tampa Bay is a 501 (c) 3 whose mission is to educate, promote research, preserve, interpret, and disseminate information about Black life, history, and culture to the local and global community. ASALH Tampa Bay generally meets the 4th Saturday at 1pm North Tampa Branch Library, 8616 North Blvd., Tampa, FL 33604The Tampa Bay Chapter of ASALH is a member of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History national organization founded by Dr. Carter G. Woodson 108 years ago. The organization is the founder of Black History Month in the USA and sets the theme globally for the year of celebration.
