Asian Pacific American Society of New Orleans

APAS is a 501c(3) non-profit umbrella organization of various Asian communities devoted to enhancing education, disseminating cultural awareness, and promoting better relations with the larger community. The Asian Pacific American Society has preserved and educated Asian culture and history in the Greater New Orleans since 1979. APAS provides services and leadership in cultural, social, and economic areas. Our community outreach projects include feeding homeless groups and providing meals to frontline workers. The Cecil J. Murphy Scholarship supports continuing education for Asian American high school graduates. The popular annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival provides a safe platform for our many Asian cultures to share their art, music, food, fashion, and more. This is all made possible by fundraising like our annual APAS Gala and donations as well as valued APAS community members.
