Black Orlando Tech

Black Orlando Tech (BOT), is a non profit organization working to increase the awareness, activities, network, and resources for local minorities who pursue careers in technology by over 10,000 people by the year 2025. Studies have shown that this community is dramatically underrepresented within the tech-skilled workforce, and our organization is seeking to close these gaps through our grassroots and direct-to-community activities.Our long term strategy is to create a growing social mechanism which contributes to the growth of minorities within tech through (1) building partnerships with local businesses, academic, professional and government organizations, (2) facilitating increased dialogue about the challenges that are being faced within various underrepresented communities to ideate and act on solutions and (3) to develop pipelines for minorities to leverage the growing resources throughout the Central Florida region.
