Blake Sufferling is a former Special Forces Officer and one of the founders of Courser Racing, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans as they transition from military service. After years of operating in high-stakes environments, Blake saw firsthand the challenges that many veterans face when reintegrating into civilian life. Courser Racing was created to provide a path forward—offering veterans purpose, resilience, and community through extreme endurance challenges, mental health support, professional mentorship and camaraderie.Based in Charleston, SC, Blake is passionate about the Lowcountry, its waters, and the power of adventure to heal and transform. He launched Courser Racing's ocean rowing expeditions as a way for veterans to push their limits, reconnect with a team, and discover a renewed sense of purpose.Through events like the Bowens Island Smoke & Shell, Blake and the Courser Racing team aim to bring people together over great food and a great mission—ensuring that veterans have the resources and opportunities they deserve as they navigate life after service.
