Borders Additional Needs Group

Borders Additional Needs Group (BANG) is a registered charity dedicated to supporting families of children with special needs, including Autism and ASN (Additional Support Needs), across the Scottish Borders. Incorporated in 2019, BANG offers a variety of programs and services, including dedicated youth projects for ASN young people aged 11-25, a Transition Service for families, and parental support services.BANG has developed strong partnerships with local and national organizations such as Youth Borders, Live Borders, and Scottish Autism to better advocate for and represent the needs of our community. Our mission is to ensure that families in the Scottish Borders have access to the support, information, and advice needed to navigate the challenges of raising a child with additional needs.We are equally committed to supporting siblings and caregivers through training and peer support. At BANG, we empower families to stay engaged in their child’s journey and work toward achieving the best possible outcomes for all families raising children with additional needs.
