Her journey began at age 16, when she was appointed a youth advisor to the UK government on children’s rights, a formative role that sparked her lifelong commitment to justice, healing, and human dignity.Shakeela currently serves as Director of Gift and Estate Planning at the University of British Columbia, helping donors design legacy gifts that reflect their values and purpose. Her coaching draws from extensive training in Integral Coaching, Leadership Maturity, Somatic Experiencing, Cynergy Conflict Management, HeartMath and the Enneagram.She supports professionals, especially lawyers, nonprofit leaders, and changemakers in becoming more intentional, integrated, and attuned.
