Cancer Foundation League

The Cancer Foundation League was formed in January of 2002. Since its formation, the League has provided financial assistance to over 5,500 cancer patients in the Northeast Louisiana area. CFL has spent over $2,000,000 for various services to help with the needs of area cancer patients. CFL is made up of volunteers and does not have any administration costs. ALL money raised goes to the community! CFL has 4 main fundraisers: The annual Gala, Theresa Marsala Memorial Golf Tournament, Fashion Fusion, and Angel Wings Program. The League provides medicine, meal supplements, transportation, accommodations, help with utilities and other individual needs to cancer patients who live in or are having treatment in NELA. It also gives Christmas baskets annually filled with food and personal needs to the current patients. It helps organize and pay for 4 free Cancer screening per year: Breast/Cervical, Colorectal, Skin, and Prostate.
