Carla Bartow (she/her) learned to paint at her Grandmother's kitchen table in the Catskill Mountains. In school she pursued her love of art, leading to a BFA in Illustration in 2008. Her illustration clients of note include Righteous Babe Records (Ani DiFranco), The Fillmore West, Day Wines and Nutcase Helmets. Carla's love of bicycling and concern for the climate led her to move to Portland, OR in 2013. She started having fine art shows right away after moving, and ended up working at the magical locally owned art store, collage. Carla continued to pursue organizing events in the bike world and in the art world. In 2024, Carla completed a 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training at People's Yoga. Carla hopes to inspire others through her actions, whether they be in the art world, the bike community, the yoga community, and all intersections. She is found most often riding bikes with her family.
