I am Caroline Savoie, a passionate movement facilitator, embodiment practictioner, and news reporter. I danced at a studio in South Louisiana for 13 years of my childhood, but my relationship with dance became strained in my early college years as I navigated early adulthood and all its stressors. It was in the quiet of my college apartment’s living room that I found healing through my own dance practice, letting go of expectations and techniques. Years later, I moved to Dallas and found a home in the Dallas Movement Collective and the facilitation and mentorship of the organization's director, Sarah Sampson. Ecstatic dance transformed my inner and outer worlds, helping me find ease and flow in life. Now, I've returned to my home state to share the dance with the wild, thrashing, spectacularly strange city of New Orleans. Join me on the dance floor, where freedom, healing and expression await.
