Ceri Oakes and Ally Brisby

Hello! We are Ceri and Ally, we met through volunteering for Whitby RNLI, and back in 2018 we started a local swim group, the whitby Wild Swimmers. After finding out that there used to be a Sandsend to Whitby competitive swim, and swim races in the Whitby Regatta dating back to the early 1900s, we decided to re-instate a swim event in the town. In 2022 we planned the first Sandsend to Whitby swim in over 30 years, sadly it was called off due to a thick sea fret, but last year in 2023 the race went ahead and was a great success! We hope you ca join us for the 2024 event!
