Church of God Bakersfield

At the Church of God, a nondenominational church that has been in the Southeast area of Bakersfield for over 70 years, we are a community of believers from all walks of life and backgrounds, who are united in our love for God and our desire to grow and learn together. Our mission is from the Great Commandment: to love God and to love others (Matthew 22:37-39). Pastor Traco Matthews is the newly ordained pastor. He and his wife, Jessica, feel called to serve in Kern County, which they consider to part of God's beloved community.
