Located at a wide number of key visitor attractions, Darren's workshops and experience days are targeted towards a variety of DSLR/Mirrorless photographers from novice to enthusiast. The workshops are not recommended for compact camera users (and that includes the ones that look like DSLR's), as you cannot control these cameras in the same way as you can a DSLR. The simple way to know if you have a DSLR or Mirrorless camera system, is that the lenses can be removed, and you can manually set shutter speeds and apertures. The experience days are however good for those with any camera, or no camera at all! :-)The workshops are ideal for those who want to discover more about a new DSLR camera, or for those who wish to escape from using auto settings. Workshops cover the basics of setting your cameras shutter speed and aperture settings, and also how to utilise things like, ISO, metering and focussing modes. Despite covering the basics, we find a lot of more experienced clients still gain a lot from the workshop dates, especially the more specialist events. The experience days are perfect for photographers who have a basic knowledge of their camera. They do not include specific training but Darren is on hand to help if needed. These events are more about being provided with some great things to photograph and he takes a great deal of time to make sure the subjects can be captured in the best possible way. This can include clean and natural backgrounds or the involvement of props and people. Experience days are not just for photographers, as they give close up access to anyone who just wants to be around these wonderful aircraft and find out more about them. Many of these days include unique access and in some cases you sit in or go inside the aircraft. Please be aware that all the group photography days are limited to a maximum number of clients, to ensure you get personal attention. Book early to avoid disappointment.
