Deborah founded Invisible Wounds (invisible-wounds.ca) in 2015.Invisible Wounds is a grass roots organization dedicated to positively contributing to the lives of First Responders, Health Care Providers and their families.Deborah coordinates all events for Invisible Wounds, including seminars, workshops and conferences. Our organization creates goal setting frameworks for events which are constantly reviewed and revised to meet objectives and key results. Our events provide safe atmospheres to enhance learning, interactive presentations and open discussions. We target decreasing stigma with speakers with lived-experience. Networking and peer support is facilitated throughout the day and during dinner. Attendees leave with increase awareness, insight, contacts, and added tools to put in their tool box. Our goal is to be the catalyst for positive change.Deborah coordinates the National Invisible Wounds Conferences for First Responders and Clinicians (who work directly with First Responders) and the first Invisible Wounds Mental Wellness Retreat for First Responders in 2023. This week long event was held in the Dominican Republic.
