Deirdre McCarthy MSW, MA, PgCert (TIC), PgCert (T&L), is a CORU-registered Social Worker, lecturer, coach-in-training, and creator of The Bród Method™ — an Irish-developed trauma-informed framework supporting children, families, and professionals to feel Happy, Healthy, Safe & Loved.Through her consultancy FAMILY3, Deirdre delivers trauma-informed care and practice training, staff wellbeing workshops, and child-centred practice programmes designed for social care, education, and healthcare professionals. Her events blend evidence-based learning with creativity, reflection, and compassion — offering participants both professional growth and personal insight.Deirdre also hosts Bród Method™ creative workshops for parents, practitioners, and organisations seeking to integrate trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches into everyday practice. Her mission is to create safe spaces where people can reconnect with pride (bród), purpose, and possibility.
