Dorian Ford

Initially studying classical piano, Dorian’s love of jazz grew through attending a weekly workshop led by the great jazz innovator, Ian Carr. The discovery of Keith Jarrett’s work, with its seamless blend of jazz improvisation and classical discipline, marked a turning point in Dorian’s musical development. Dorian went on to study at Berklee College of Music where he was awarded the prestigious Chick Coria Jazz Masters Award not once, but twice.Dorian plays regularly in London (The Vortex, 606, Ronnie Scott’s, Wigmore Hall) as well as internationally (recent tours in Australia and Japan).
