Dr Colin Anderson and Mark Jennison

Colin Anderson has worked in the wind energy sector since 1985, originally as a research engineer for wind turbine manufacturer James Howden Ltd, and later as Technical Director of blade manufacturer Aerpac UK. He has since advised on a number of medium-scale wind installations for businesses and communities in Scotland, and taught a Masters course on wind energy at Edinburgh University. Colin is author of the textbook ‘Wind Turbines, Theory and Practice’, now in its second edition from Cambridge University Press.Originally an oceanographer, Mark has been involved in wind energy for over 30 years. Transitioning from the marine environment, work on the Isle of Tiree ignited his interest in wind energy and led to a varied career in the sector ranging from establishing community co-operatives on Scottish wind farms to supporting landowners develop their own medium wind projects, and ultimately running a medium wind installation business. Mark has recently exited from Perth based Realise Energy Services, a medium wind operation and maintenance company which he co-founded in 2016.
