About

ElderServe was founded in 1962 in response to a community needs study conducted by the Community Chest (now Metro United Way). The agency is a non-profit organization located in Louisville, KY that serves older residents of Jefferson County. Its mission is to empower older adults to live independently with dignity.A significant focus of our work is the operation of the ElderServe Senior Center on 28th and Magazine streets in West Louisville. In this location the majority of activities, services, workshops, and programs take place. Here, we make a positive impact by providing educational health information, skill-building workshops, and social engagement such as Tai Chi, Aerobics and Exercise classes, Make It Monday’s (crafts), Quilting, Music, Walking Club, Puzzle Club, Bingo, Bible Study, Line Dancing, Social Hour, Movie Time and Nutritional Classes. Our Senior Center activities help us to achieve our vision.
