The grand two-story colonial revival mansion known as The Kenneth Lewis Howard House, built as the personal home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard, is a replica of the North Carolina house constructed in 1907 for the Jamestown Ter-Centennial Exposition in Virginia. It has been the Womans Club of Dunn, Inc.'s official home since 1953. Friends of the Howard House, a citizen-led committee, formed in 2002 that raises needed funds for preserving and renovating the historic home. Money earned from various fundraisers, along with donations and house rentals, is used for the upkeep of the Howard House. It is the goal of the Friends of the Howard House and the Womans Club of Dunn to provide an affordable venue for weddings and functions for area citizens while preserving an important part of history in the Dunn community.
