Established in 1993, The Fulton County Public Art Program began with the adoption of the Art in Public Places Resolution which stipulates one percent of the cost of acquisition, renovation or construction of any Fulton County building or facility must be set aside for the fabrication, installation and ongoing maintenance of public artwork. Since then, the County has commissioned 69 artworks and acquired over 750 artworks, located in facilities around Fulton County including senior centers, libraries, parks, arts centers, and court buildings. In addition to commissioning and acquiring artwork, we also offer programming through the Public Art Futures Lab and our mobile art center; the ArtVan in collaboration with artists and community organizations.
