Girls on the Run Los Angeles

The mission of Girls on the Run of Los Angeles County (GOTRLA) is to inspire girls in 3rd - 8th grades to be joyful, healthy and confident using an interactive SEL curricula that creatively combines training for a 5K run. Girls on the Run uses evidence-based program curricula to inspire participants to build confidence, leadership and decision-making skills. Dynamic lessons instill valuable life skills emphasizing the important connection between physical, mental and emotional health. Since 2005, GOTRLA has provided after-school positive youth development and empowerment programs in LA. Set apart from other enrichment offerings, GOTRLA programs take a holistic approach, addressing social-emotional and physical developmental needs within one program. GOTRLA focuses on participants from diverse communities with an emphasis on economically disadvantaged areas.
