It is a blend of extremely deep relaxation with techniques deepening our connection with nature, including our inner nature. It is a practice that allows you to plant seeds of personal transformation in the potent ground of our unconscious, as we are being guided to balance on the sweet spot between wakefulness and sleep. During EcoNIDRA™ sessions, participants partner with nature as an active witness of their new planted intention. They are being guided on an inner Pilgrimage through the Body, also known as Rotation of Consciousness. Using their imaginal sense, they will set up on an Earth Journey with various nature soundscapes. At the end of each session, EcoNIDRA™ practitioners are invited to do a Random Act of Kindness in their own environment and communities.Roots & LineageThe practice of EcoNIDRA™ was born in the middle of the world Covid-19 pandemic, wild emotional storms, shaking grounds and fires of 2020, a year that has shown us once again and maybe stronger than ever how important relaxation, a functional immune system, our connection with the planet, proper self-care and human kindness are in this new world. The practice has its roots in the ancient Yoga Nidra, more specifically the Himalayan tradition of Yoga Nidra, in Forest Therapy as taught by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, and in the teachings of transpersonal psychology based on the Power of Kindness.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~EcoRECOVERY was born as a branch from the EcoNIRDA tree and follows the same format with the focus of recovery for women. This is a monthly virtual event on Zoom to provide autonomy for attendees.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~What is Forest Therapy? The practice of Forest Therapy, also referred to as Forest Bathing, is inspired by the practice of Shinrin-Yoku, a research-based framework from Japan. The focus of this framework is to increase health and wellness through immersion in nature. The term Shinrin-Yoku translates to “Forest Bathing.”Extensive research studies have shown that routine exposure to nature through the practice of Forest Therapy/Bathing has many health benefits especially for cardiovascular health. Additional benefits include improving the immune system. It also reduces cortisol levels in the body. Cortisol is the stress hormone. Additional benefits of Forest Therapy/Bathing include improvement in mood and cognition.A Forest Therapy Guide assists people in experiencing an immersion in nature through a series of invitations that will help you tune into your senses and less in your thoughts. It’s like breathing in the medicine of the Forest!Dawn enjoys guiding events for both community members and professional groups.
