About

Heartland Healing Counseling & Consultation is a private group psychotherapy and wellness practice that centers LGBTQIAP+ individuals and other marginalized communities. Our providers work from queer feminist and family systems frameworks, and value self-determination, holistic health, harm reduction, and disability and racial justice.Aviv (they/them/mx) is the Founder & CEO of Heartland Healing. They are a neuroqueer nonbinary psychotherapist, educator, musician and contemplative practice guide based in the Midwest. As a clinician, Aviv describes themselves as a liberation therapist, utilizing a feminist relational framework and a variety of therapeutic modalities as needed, with special interest in psychodynamic approaches and expressive therapies. Aviv is passionate about working with individuals to reject shame and move toward embodiment, pleasure and radical peace with our vessels. Aviv facilitates mindfulness meditation workshops with the voice as the object of focus, and hosts community singing circles. They are a giddy lover of nature-based ritual, and reimagining ritual for queer and trans communities.​
