About

The HB LGBTQ+ Society was formed in 2021 to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer/ Questioning and Ace people in Herne Bay and the surrounding areas.We welcome, and are made up of, LGBTQ+ people, allies, friends and families. Our founder is a Trans man who grew up in Herne Bay.We recognise the need for a safe spaces and inclusive events for the LGBTQ+ community, to promote tolerance, acceptance, and education. There is still a long way to go to creating a society where we are free to be proud of our gender and sexuality, to be loved for our authentic selves and to be openly together and visible. In short, to be who we are.This year we have focused our energy of organising the first ever Herne Bay Pride!
