Hickory Hill Nature School

Hickory Hill Nature Schoolis a Pennsylvania State Licensed, outdoor school forchildren ages 3-6. We follow the Cedarsong Way® Education Model which includes all-weather nature immersion offering children a unique learning environment where they can thrive amidst nature.We believe children deeply benefit from spending time outdoors where they receive stimulation and learning experiences from the natural environment. Our program is child-led, child-inspired learning with an inquiry-based teaching style allowing for more autonomy and curiosity. Students spend their time choosing which activities they want to engage in with unstructured, open-ended play time built into the day. There are a multitude of opportunities for kids to explore their creativity through imaginative play which builds their social and emotional skills. We have a large mud kitchen where children learn about sensory exploration and collaboration. And of course, being outdoors provides challenges to build childrens’ physical strength, balance, and confidence.
