The Institute for Tolerance Studies was established in 2005 by Ron Duncan Hart and Gloria Abella Ballen with a focus promoting social justice and tolerance and addressing issues of religious diversity, antisemitism, and racism. The Institute for Tolerance Studies with its programs of lectures, films, and publications has become one of the Jewish educational organizations with the broadest outreach in New Mexico and the Southwest, reaching more than 20,000 people each year. The donors who have contributed to make these programs possible will be honored along with the 200 authors and speakers and 100s of people in the 170 films who have contributed their information and insights to address the on-going issues of tolerance and diversity since 2005.
