The James-Lorah Memorial Home and Museum, in the heart of Doylestown Borough, is the headquarters of the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown, a historic women’s organization founded in 1895. Birthplace of Henry Mercer and the legacy of VIA Charter Member Sarah M. James, the stately Victorian town home, containing the furnishings and personal effects of the James family, is open for tours and events by reservation.
