Jayden Watkins

Jayden Amir Watkins is 16 years old. He is an executive director, minister, author, media personality, and community advocate dedicated to empowering the next generation. A native of Henderson, NC, he preached his first sermon at nine and now serves as an associate minister. As the founder of Higher Is Waiting Nonprofit Organization, he leads faith-based initiatives and mentorship programs, including EMPOWERED: Teen Bible Study, which impacts over 120 youth on a regular basis. Jayden is deeply involved in community outreach, organizing events, and providing aid to those in need to inspire and uplift others. Beyond ministry, he is an assistant stage play director and the host of The Preferable Podcast, featuring Grammy and Emmy-winning guests. He is also a seasonal host at WIZS Radio and has been featured on international platforms and magazine covers. Recognized for his leadership, Jayden was inducted into the Disney Dreamers Academy and serves as president of the Teen Democrats of Vance County. A published author and NAACP award recipient, he remains committed to inspiring others through faith, media, and mentorship, guided by his favorite scripture, Jeremiah 29:11.
