Jazeen Hollings

Writer. Poet. Teacher. I lie at the intersection of creativity, spirituality, and poetic inquiry. Pens Pages Poets is my bringing together of all these gifts to form community.I'm the winner of the Cherie Smith Prize in Creative Writing and Quarterfinalist of the Screencraft Short Screenplay Competition. My writing has been published in Idle Ink, Discorder Magazine, Faze Magazine, Flora Fiction amongst others. I'm currently finalizing my first collection of poetry. I have an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's of Design from OCADUniversity.I teach poetry and creative writing while also providing one-on-one guidance with manuscripts or emerging projects. I also facilitate in-person Women's Circles and Listening Circles (where others come to share creative work)on the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Williams Treaty First Nation, as well as the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat and Haudenosaunee peoples.
