KIPP Minnesota (KIPP MN) is a public charter school in North Minneapolis committed to addressing the equity gap in education, building strong community partnerships, and providing training and schooling opportunities for teachers and staff.KIPP MN launched in 2008 and is part ofKIPP Public Schools, which is a strong network that consists of 275 public charter schools across the country. During the 2023-24 school year, KIPP MN will educate approximately 300 students at our KIPP North Star campus (K-8). With a staff of 60 team members that is over 80% BIPOC, our team reflects and understands the culture and needs of our student body which is 99% BIPOC. As a public charter school dedicated to providing educational excellence to under-resourced communities, we see students emerge as leaders ready to pursue their chosen path.OUR MISSIONTogether with families and communities, we create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose—college, career, and beyond—so they can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world.
