When Lavender Light was formed in 1985, it was the only lesbian and gay gospel choir in the world. As we celebrate our 38th year, we are proud to continue keeping alive the black gospel music tradition in an environment supportive to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community, while also building bridges of respect and understanding through music.
