“lift run is a hybrid athlete events company born out of the pursuit of physcial excellence and mental resilience for all.”Lift Run is a hybrid athlete event designed for everybody. The event is comprised of 2 elements - completing a powerlifting total (lifting the max amount of weight for one repetition in the back squat, bench press and deadlift exercises) and running your maximum distance in 2 hours on a predetermined route in the same day.The goal is to lift the most amount of weight across the three exercises, and run the greatest distance in the 2 hours.The idea was conceived after co-founder Jack organised his own Lift Run event; completing a powerlifting total of 1000lbs and running 100km in the same day.Following on from the success of this event, the idea was conceived to create it into an event for Plymouth Performance Gym members.
