For over 30 years, LAM has been a faith-based force for change in South Los Angeles and beyond. Our mission is to train and equip clergy and laity to empower and revitalize the communities where they live, work, and worship. We are not a church—we are a movement. As a nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty, disease, racial inequities, and the prison industrial complex,we focus on serving BIPOC populations, small neighborhood congregations, and prison ministries. Through advocacy, grassroots organizing, and leadership development,LAM transforms South Los Angeles & LA County communitiesinto powerful constituencies, driving local, state, and national change. Our challenges are complex, butwe believe in bold solutions through innovation, collaboration, and political empowerment.
