Lux Brumalis

Lux Brumalis is a project-based mixed-voice chamber choir comprised of young musicians living in Ireland. Founded in late 2023 by its director David Yau, the choir was named the Best Overall Choir in RTÉ Lyric FM’s Choirs for Christmas competition in 2023 in its debut performance. This past year the choir has expanded and undertaken multiple other projects including live performances and a number of choral recordings. The choir performs a wide variety of choral music, ranging from stunning motets from the Romantic period, to contemporary choral masterpieces of the 21st century and everything in-between! They have recently released Genesis, their debut EP to Spotify and Apple Music, which celebrates choral polyphony from the Renaissance, featuring beautiful choral works from well-known composers like Victoria, Tallis and Byrd.
