Mary Virginia Giglio

I’m a Yank who became a proud Irish citizen in 2023. I’ve been performing on flute since 8 years old and later won scholarships with my voice from college through PhD in music. An internationally recognized scholar in the music and culture of Native Americans, my eclectic professional career has included college teaching, web and graphic design, flower farming, tailoring, chaplaincy, and art.After moving from Oklahoma, US to Cork, Ireland in 2018, I have played flute and piccolo and sung solos with the Cork Light Orchestra. I am an Artist-in-Residence at Shandon Studios. A full-time artist and musician, at age 70 I was the oldest female contestant on Season 2 of THE FLOOR .
