In 1987, Jim McManes purchased Eastside Dodge, which originally opened in Calgary in 1976. Since that time Eastside is consistently one of the top performing dealerships within the Canadian Chrysler dealer network.The McManes Automotive Group’s dealership acquisitions began in 1990 when we opened a Passport franchise which became Saturn in 1992. Since that time, we have been constantly expanding. We have now acquired and have ownership in nineteen new vehicle franchises, one large used vehicle operation and a leasing company. Over the years we have continued to grow. In 2019 our group sold nearly 14,000 new vehicles and 8.737 used vehicles for total sales of approximately 22,610 units.The history and success of McManes Automotive Group are due solely to the people within our organization. Promoting from within is extremely important to us and we are very proud of our employees, where many of them over the years, have grown to be part of our management and ownership teams. We believe our growth and success is derived from a commitment to excellence. We are champions in our field.
