MDCT Woodlands

The Bell Wood was bought on behalf of the community by Mid Deeside Community Trust in 2003 after consultation showed that there was a demand for improved public access and a more natural habitat. In 2003, Mid Deeside Community Trust was granted a 99 year lease on the Lady Wood on the western side of the village. A team of volunteers assist in managing the maintenance of the community woodlands.The MDCT Woodlands Committee - a group of local community members dedicated to improve Bell Wood for people and wildlife - have set up this page to encourage volunteers from our community to get involved in the woodlands maintenance and learn more about our local woods through a range of family events and activities.
