Melody Gilbert

Melody Gilbert is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and educator who has directed and produced 20 documentaries in 20 years. She moved to the Hudson Valley in the summer of 2024 after years of wandering, filming and working in various places including Louisiana, Bulgaria and Minnesota. Most recentaly she was consulting producer for QUEENDOM which was shortlisted for an Oscar in the feature doc category and producer for 40 BELOW: THE TOUGHEST RACE IN THE WORLD, now available on Amazon and Tubi. Her DOCUMENTARY BOOT CAMP is a popular workshop internationally hat helps students on the path to achieving their documentary dreams. She is the founder of MN Docuclub that started 20 years ago and continues to this day as an important community resource for emerging and establlished filmmakers in Minnesota.. The Documentary Channel once called Melody "One of the most fearless filmmakers in contemporary documentary cinema."
