Dr. Michael Wierda is the Pesticide Safety Education Program Director for USU based out of Davis County. Dr. Wierda earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology tracking legacy pollutants in Michigan’s aquatic ecosystems with bald eagles. USU PSEP’s #1 goal is for you to understand environmental health concerns related to pesticides and how pesticides move, work, persist, and breakdown in you, your family/community, and the environment.
