Miguel Heatwole is an experienced choral director, composer, and leader of folk-singing sessions. For decades, his enthusiasm for promoting community singing has brought people together to share music. He’s won awards for both singing and songwriting.He composes for Ecopella, a community choir that he’s led for 25 years, for the ensemble Andsome Friends, and has had string quartets recorded by the Lehner Quartet in the USA.His extensive discography includes a series of 4 albums containing songs from over 70 folk singers. It's flagship, The People Have Songs is a popular contribution to the Australian and international folk scene.
