About

Founded in 2024 by Thomas Readett, the Mystic Chamber Music Series’ mission is to make the highest caliber of classical chamber music accessible to a wide variety of audiences throughout southeastern Connecticut. The Mystic Chamber Music Series is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and growing audiences of all ages through engagement with chamber music performances in local historic venues. We had our first concert in January of 2024 and, since that point, have put on critically acclaimed concerts all over southeastern Connecticut. Season 1 highlights include hosting the American String Quartet and playing at the Mystic Noank Library. Season two opened at Noank Baptist Church on September 28th, 2024, and featured Nina Bernat and Peter Winograd. Season three opens October 11th, 2025, at the Noank Baptist Church. Aside from concerts, MCMS is also excited to present outreach children’s events in collaboration with the Mystic Noank Library and sponsored by the Chelsea Groton Bank. These classical story times pair beautiful classical music with a unique story time event.
